Adam Wharton A debut start with the national team. Somewhat loose on the ball though his inswinging set-pieces were a threat. A handy game manager for the coach to have versus teams who drop deep. Shown a yellow for a rash challenge. 6/10

The midfielder Deliveries from corners and free kicks created chances. Enjoyed freedom to drift down the left flank only to be offside upon receiving in shooting positions. Granted a merited substitution around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a high spot down the right and contributed with the hard yards. Demonstrated moments of class and scuffed an effort over. Substituted towards the end for Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's best chance of the first half, his effort smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to offer an outlet on the right although his balls from wide areas varied in quality. Taken off for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

Harry Kane The difference-maker scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth finishes in an England shirt. His first a trademark poacher’s finish while the second a superb header having drifted away off his defender. Aged 32, he continues to improve and the side have every chance in future competitions with him up top. 8

The attacker Found it tough to influence play out wide. Had a presentable chance when set up from a teammate yet Strakosha kept it out. His replacement made much more of influence in his place. 5
