NY Launches Portal for Residents to Report Immigration Videos After Detentions of 4 American Citizens
The state AG has introduced a new reporting form urging citizens to provide images and footage of ICE operations throughout New York. This move follows a shortly after a significant immigration operation disrupted Manhattan's Chinatown, sparking widespread outcry.
US Citizens Held In Enforcement Action
A congressional representative disclosed during a news conference that four US citizens were detained and detained for "almost a full day" following the enforcement action. Protests broke out in the city on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
"Every New Yorker is entitled to live without fear," the attorney general wrote in a statement.
"Anyone who observed and captured immigration enforcement recently, I ask you to provide that material with us. We are committed to reviewing these accounts and determining any violations of law."

When submitting, individuals must tick a checkbox that acknowledges that "the attorney general could utilize any materials, images, or footage in a official report, including in a lawsuit or government document."

The enforcement action, which onlookers say featured more than 50 federal agents, happened in a well-known district of NYC where imitation products and additional items are regularly available en masse – typically to tourists.
