Devoted supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the individual from Australia pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being detained", though official papers showed that he was due to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Record of Incidents

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram profile features recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more comment on Instagram.

Several attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was touched by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Numerous of fans had gathered in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the acclaimed stage production Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of last year in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, earning several for outstanding attire and production design.
